Shared expenses¶
You booked the weekend trip on your card. Your partner didn't pay a cent for it — yet — but half of it is theirs.
Categorize that line as Shared instead of Mine, and Funder splits it straight down the middle: half counts as your expense, half as theirs, automatically, no separate transfer required.
Do this all month — groceries, rent, the odd dinner out — and Funder keeps a running tally of who's ahead. It shows up right on your dashboard, split by person:
No spreadsheet, no "I'll Venmo you later" that never happens. When one of you pays the other back, categorize that transfer as a Repayment and the balance settles — partial repayments are fine too, the running total just adjusts.
